    Easy to follow!

Posted by Krystle G on 7th Sep 2022

As a new homeschooling parent, I was worried about how hard it would be to teach my 7yo son math! This curriculum is so easy to follow, with clear lessons and directions. My son loves all the manipulatives and games! It's never boring, and he's grasping the concepts super quickly. I had heard so much positive feedback about RightStart and I can see why!

    Great

We absolutely love RightStart, my kids beg me to do math. I love how they are learning to do math in their heads and that I get an opportunity to connect with my kids over math games together. I highly recommend RightStart.

My child w generalized anxiety now loves math

Posted by Unknown on 11th Sep 2019

My daughter used to hide in the bathroom at school during math. Now that we’ve brought her home and started with Right Start, I have to take the cards, abacus, and math balance away from her at night, because she enjoys the games, and realizes that math can be fun! I am such a fan. The multi-styled approach lets us skip some of the math journal work when needed, without my fearing that she won’t learn her facts because she still plays the games with ease and fun. I love that we can tailor the program to her special needs, spending extra time playing games, and helping her overcome a major fear of failure that is such a huge part of her life. Thank you, Right Start, for helping my child not fear math anymore!

I didn't know my child was clueless!

Posted by Rebecca on 11th Sep 2019

We used a different math program as required by our previous homeschool Co-op. My daughter did fine but never really liked math. I started her in level C and didn't realize how clueless she was! The other program drilled fax but she did not understand the relationship between the facts and the numbers. Even looking at the abacus oh, she was so confused about place value. Her previous math Associated the tens place digit with the name of the row on the Abacus if you will, so she thinks the third row should be 30s instead of realizing it is not a full ten until it gets to the end. All that to say, I am so thankful that we switched when we did. I can see that she is finally learning and making connections. Plus she really loves it! We did worksheet upon worksheet in the last program and I can see that it was worthless. Now she does a quick lesson and then a game and doesn't realize she is practicing. This program is very very expensive but I am so thankful that we got it! I dreaded math before because the kids just disliked it so much. Now they are excited about it and that makes it so much more fun to teach. Do yourself a favor and get it!

    BEST Program EVER!!!

Posted by Kat on 12th Jun 2019

I use to teach 1st - 3rd grade and would have loved this for my class! Now I home educate my two children (9 & 10.) My 9 year old with ASD with high anxiety about mathematics. My 10 year old with ADHD, dyslexia & dyspraxia. This is the first program we have used that brings math to life in a fun way. My children are learning & loving it! I would highly recommend this program.

    Still loving RightStart

Posted by Katie on 5th Jul 2018

I am just finishing up Level C with my son this summer. It took us longer than a year to get through Level B, but it was worth the time, and now he is zooming through C and doing so great. I am amazed at how well he can do mental math, and he seems to really UNDERSTAND each concept by the time we are done working through it from every angle the way RightStart does. And, if he leaves a concept feeling a bit shaky, I know we'll come back around to it again and he'll have another chance to better understand it in the future. I have so much confidence that he is getting a very strong foundation in mathematical concepts by simply working through each of these lessons as written. Plus, as the parent teacher, I also enjoy the process, which I think is an important part of making home learning REALLY work well! My daughter whizzed through Level A this year too and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much RightStart!

"Is it time for Math yet??"

"Is it time for Math yet?" - these are the words of our daughter most days. She loves this Math program and calls her games, blocks, etc, her "big box of Fun!"
